David’s leadership journey spans continents, crises, and careers shaped by experiences most people can only imagine.

It began in a childhood unlike any other, growing up in Flat 1 at London Zoo, where his father was Curator of Mammals (and later Director of Chester Zoo). David’s earliest lessons in leadership came from observing the instinctive systems of the natural world and the people responsible for keeping them in balance.

From there, David spent 28 years in the British Army, leading soldiers in some of the most demanding environments imaginable. Clarity, calm, and decisive action weren’t just ideals, they were daily necessities. His military career forged his ability to lead under pressure, communicate with precision, and build teams capable of delivering results when everything was on the line.

After leaving the Army, David transitioned seamlessly into the corporate world, serving as Chief Operating Officer for a major blue-chip company. He led large operational teams, transformed complex systems, restructured pension schemes, and built performance-management frameworks, all while overseeing the operational heartbeat of a global organisation. Whether scaling up, streamlining systems, or elevating team capability, David delivered at the highest strategic level.

Then came one of the defining chapters of his career.

As Director for Central and Eastern Europe at Crisis24, David was based in Kyiv when the war broke out. His leadership during those days, and the weeks that followed, was extraordinary. After a two-day evacuation across Ukraine to the Romanian border, he continued coordinating operations that kept hundreds of Ukrainian employees safe and accounted for.

Working closely with one of the world’s largest blue-chip companies, David navigated the operational, political, and humanitarian complexities of maintaining a corporate presence in an active war zone. His work saved lives, protected families, and provided stability when none existed.

David has travelled the world, often into places most people would never choose to go, bringing structure, strategy, and calm leadership wherever he lands.

In 2025, David joined Emma as Co-Director of SafeZone Cleaning Services and My Perfect Cleaner. Together, they transformed Emma’s vision into a multiple six-figure cleaning group, blending her entrepreneurial fire with his operational excellence. The businesses grew stronger, sharper, and more scalable and the Brambell powerhouse was complete.

Now, as Co-Founder of The Brambell Group, David brings a rare combination of military leadership, crisis management, corporate strategy, and small-business scaling. His approach is practical, structured, and quietly commanding. No jargon. No theatrics. Just real leadership shaped by real experience; from war zones to boardrooms to building sites.
